Believe it or not, that was the cover teaser on the Field & Stream September issue. I was waiting for my doc to tell me whether I needed a knee replacement, so I picked up the magazine and read it.

Starts on P. 60.

I don't know about the never missing part, but it was one of the best articles I have ever read on the proper way to use a rifle. I'd wager following the information it contains could make at least 50% of us more accurate and better shots in the field.

Oh, yeah, don't need the replacement, Very Happy went home from work early, the wife took me out to dinner. Is this a good day, or what? Laughing

Congradulations on not needing the knee replacement! Hopefully you have little pain and a good range of motion.

I will look for the article next week when I visit my barber for a trim Smile Thanks for the heads up (but I'll bet I still miss some LOL)

Interesting article with a lot of good information. The key seems to be practice, practice and more practice. I run high power rifle matches and can tell you that the better shooters are focused, concentrate and take their time even in rapid fire. These guys practice every chance they get and some shoot 490 out of 500 possible points consistently. All the best...

Is this the same article. It was in Field and Stream for Sept. 2005 titled "Just Breathe".

What wasn't clear was whether the speed slings (CW or Ching)were used. A sling lockup increases hit probablility by about 30%

Yep, that's the one. I didn't get the impression that a sling was used. Maybe I missed something. I'll read it again.
