Howdy. I have never owned a trail camera but would like to get one before next season. What are some of things you guys look for in a digital trail camera. Have ya had good luck with any ? or bad luck?. Any good accessories. I would be interested in opinions on them. Now keep in mind fellas I'm pretty cheap Smile so I'm figuring in the $100.00 to $ 150.00 range. Thanks Guys.
Joe

How high the pixelations and resolutions are mainly joe.
water proof bag of course and if you look at underwater digital cameras I have found from personal experience to most enduring at high elevations and heavy wet woods
good luck on your mission

regards

First thing I'd look at is the trigger speed, if it's too slow it doesn't matter how good the pictures are, they just show trees... How quickly it resets fro the next pic could also be important.

I like the infrared flash capability, as most pics are likely (at least around here) to be at night or just at dawn/dusk. The IR flash doesn't seem to disturb the game, I have strings of pictures taken over several minutes when deer were feeding right in front of the camera.

I like a digital camera with a removable storage card. I bought 2 cards and just swap them out. Bring the card home and pop it into a reader connected to the computer.

I ended up with a Cuddeback "NoFlash" because it was on sale for about $400, normally about $450. I also bought a "BearSafe" steel box to mount it in, due to the cost of the camera. The box was about $40 from Cabela's.

Gidday Joe. I don't know a damn thing about Trail Cameras, so I thought...time to learn a little, so I Googled it. Came up with this website:

Trail Camera Reviews

Don't know if it is of any use to you, but if the blurb on the front page is to be believed then the reviews are from people that use the Trail Cameras.

Cheers, Vince
