Guns Transportation

Hi all ... Very Happy

It's nice to be back. Anyway, ... i bought a gun and a case and a lock for the gun. I'm in California. Question is, when I transport my gun to the shooting range, does my shotgun have to be in a locked case? Or can it be in a gun bag and the gun is locked?

I know that gun has to be in the trunk away from my reach.
I don't like to carry the case along, that's all.

Any California shooter knows the the law in California? Thank you in advance.

The shotgun and anyother firearm must be in a hard case and locked. Guns in the trunk and ammunition in the passenger part of the vehicle. And THEN you are still at the mercy of the police ossifer and the particular mood he happens to be in. Always hope for one that has had a little before going on duty.

You must not tell a single soul, but I moved to Missouri last July. I don't want the USSR of C to know where I'm at. Hiding
