Seeing as we've had some interest in discussing trailcams I wanted to let people know about something fun. The Kodak Easyshare Picture Viewer. It is NOT a camera but simply a portable picture viewer. It takes SD cards and shows your pictures... think of it as a small wallet sized photo album showing as many picts as you can store on a mem card.
This is useful for trail cameras without video monitors, you can view your photos in the fields to determine camera problems or whatever. If your cam is close by your house you probably dont need it. My cameras are 60 miles away and that means $20 everytime I drive down to check them. I'd rather see what they are doing in the field rather than to return home only to discover a problem then have to drive back down to get the cam.
They normally retail for $100-150 but lately they are being closed out and you can find some smoking deals on them, as low as $20!
I've been trying to win one off Ebay but people are putting nasty shipping charges on stuff lately to beware the costs. Most are selling in the $25-33 range + shipping on top. After watching more than a few auctions go past what I wanted to spend, I did some digging and found amazon has a seller you can buy them for directly, a few bucks cheaper than the EBay ones after you figure in shipping. I just ordered one today so I'll pass on the links. If you keep playing the ebay game I think you could get one a bit cheaper, depends on how much you want to work to save $5 LOL.
Heres the amazon link:
