My bag o' tricks include two elecrtonic callers, a Johnny Stewart 512LR and a Fox Pro w/ remote. Along with several factory hand calls including diaphrams, bite calls, closed & open reeds plus 2 or 3 custom noise makers.

Just curious... What do you use Question

I use a JS elec. and hand calls. The hand calls are customs made by Rich Cronk & another by Songdog.

Just whatever I have at home, I bought it at the store a long time ago. I dont remember what brand it is, but it seems to work every now and again.

Actually I have both store bought and custom. I have used the Circe calls for over 30 years, but in recent years I have begun trying some custom calls. In some cases the custom calls sound a little better than the Circe(in some cases), but the custom are made of some really nice wood.

And of course - the 1% left over from the poll: I find that making a noise like a carrot works for me when after rabbits:)

I'll tell you what, out here in the western desert few things work as good as live Goat tied to a bush. I had a couple friends who did this often and the results were pretty darn amazing.

Use an electonic, Wester Rivers (JS Knockoff), and mouth/hand calls. Using the mouth/hand calls more often than before.
Started my Coyote hunting now that Turkey season is over here in Georgia. Also will be hunting a few Feral Hogs.

We have a lot of yotes around but I hunt crows only. I have not gotten into night hunting yet. I use a remote boom box and Cds I made off of crow calls found on the Net. Very Happy

Right now all I use is a Lady Luck call and she ain't been working too well lately. Mad I'm going to get an electronic call soon I just don't know which one. I do know it has to have a minimum 200 yard remote so that sort of narrows my choices.

Out of the options listed at the top I think the cat would work the best. Out here in CO yotes seems to really like a little....cat once in a while =-)

Actually, the J. Stewart house cat is one of my go to favorite sounds when calling around farms. Over the years, "Fluffy in distress" has accounted for several dead coyotes. Very Happy

Hey Coyote hunter...

I have never tried using a cat distress call, you have me wanting to try one. If you were going to buy another one would you buy the Johny Stewart again? I was just thinking last Friday night when the moon was so bright that a person should try calling one in on a night like that. Have any of you had much luck during a full moon at night, coyote hunting.
