This year, I went to Indonesia twice to attend to two separate reunions.
One for my Primary (year 1 - 6) and Junior High (year 7 to 9) school ,
And one to my Senior High (year 10 to 12) School.
On the first occasion I reunited with friends that I have not seen for over 50 years, and on the second over 45 years.

I am glad I attended the gathering because on both occasion, a few friends passed away since, 3 from the first reunion, and one from the second. Crazy..
At least I said good bye on both the occasions.

Life is short and the older I get the more funerals I attend.

I am glad you guys are still here with me.

That is fantastic mate. I attended the 50 yr reunion of my High School some years ago and it was great to catch up with guys, and girls, I haven’t seen since we were young teens. I’m hoping we have another reunion before we all get too old to enjoy one.

Having said that, we’ll all be sharing the last beer in the last pub at the end of days, including Dallan and Bushy of course.

I just missed my 30 year reunion unfortunately. I'd forgotten it was this year and never knew the date. I'd already booked a camp site for a weekend holiday that same weekend. It was too late to get a refund on the trip. One of my best friends from high school still lives in town with me, he ended up not going either.

I regret missing it a bit... too many people dying over the years.

My last reunion end of August was held exactly the same day as the Sydney Knife Show, and I have already booked a table to exhibit.
I have to cancel the show table to go to the reunion, but I think it worth my effort since at least I get to talk to one of my mate the last time.
I even joked with him that one of us might not make it to the next reunion.. sadly the prediction came true much earlier than expected.
