Well, I had cortizone shot in my left knee back at the end of January and it lasted 1 or 2 days. I made my decision - new knee. I've been a candidate for knee replacement over 20 years. I'm 77.

After the testing, again, I get a date to see the surgeon, after that meeting the surgery will happen on the 10th August.

Last Thursday I went to rehab and have started the exercises pre surgery.

Since I have no one I can have stay with me since Deb died, and all of my family are working, my friend is coming up from North Carolina to help me for month. Remember that I live in Ontario, Canada.

Or I could go this way and save a sh*t ton of coin. Very Happy

I hope you got your knee sorted out properly mate.
so far I have 4 friends that had their knees refurbished, 1 was raving about how good it is and 3 ranting about how it hurts since the doc didnt put the knee correctly

Hm…that DIY option Shocked certainly isn’t the way I’d go, not with my clumsiness. With my luck I’d put the damn thing in upside down or back to front.

I’ve had one knee done and I’ll never get to other done, regardless of how bad it gets. I had all sorts of problems with it, and it still gives me trouble. Good luck with the op mate, and make sure you do the exercises religiously.

Hang on there RePete! Dad had both knees done (not at the same time!) and went back to playing golf.

I hoping I can play the piano afterwards, oh by the way, I can't play now! LOL!

I am hoping for good things afterwards. I know that it's more painful than the hip replacement (right side already done).

I am doing the prehab exercises.

Thanks for your support.

Good luck! Its amazing the tools Dr's have at their disposal. Knee replacement is nearly becoming routine.
