Just to keep it real. I have been being paid not to go to work for 8 months now. I have finished a good deal of projects, repairs and had fun doing them. I got bored by the second month and informed my superintendent that if this was retirement then I didn't want anything to do with it and that I wanted to come back to work. So onto May/June I built some Viking chairs and a couple of picnic tables out of reclaimed pallets and docks. In August, I had a doctor's appointment re: surgery on my wraist. The protocol at the hospital was to get masked up with a fresh mask supplied by the hospital, washing your hands in alcohol, answering the questions for the screening report and lastly having your temperature taken. The lady behind the plastic screen commenced with the procedure and at then end she reached around the barrier and tipped my ball cap up and reached for her electronic IR temperature gun. I quickly spun around, bend over, made like I was spreading my ass cheeks and looked coyly over my shoulder at her. She stood momentarily stunned, and I said " Oh you want to take it the other way. We both along with a couple of other screeners about died laughing.
So fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I was back at the Nursing Station in my community and my NP was back at her job after a years worth of chemo-therapee. We did our catching up, she commented on the 30 odd pounds that I lost and said that she was going to do a requisition for some periodic blood work. I noticed a section on the requisition for a mammogram. I said "Don't you think that we should order a mammogram now while I still have something to put into the machine?" She raised her hand and stopped short. That's when you can tell that you have a good relationship with a woman when she is willing to swat you. lmao

True enough about still getting paid. I guess that I have discovered that I do not do well when I don't have anything productive to do. Mine you I am in the danger zone for infection and those who have already been infected are now far more susceptible to other life threatening diseases. I just heard that this am from my librarian whom is also off work and being paid by EI here in Canada.

I am enjoying the 70-90kph/43-56mph winds and rain tonight outside the library on the wifi. The truck is really rocking. Temp 5C = 41F

Ahhhh, a peaceful evening with mother nature. Sounds like a good fishing story. We could name it Truck fishing and the perfect weather. Yes, I know too wordy but I'm not very creative tonight.
