Thanks, Pkslinger. It would be interesting to see how well this stood up to cow back scratching.

I have had squirrels do more damage than that, Dallan.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday, it's starting to rain here in Arkansas. We have trail cams going, all are sheltered with a TrailCamCover, no worries this winter, we leave cameras out in the rain and snow, with the weather cover water doesn't work it's way inside the camera body.
We purchased two cameras last night, the bungee cord mount, that's what we'll work on today, modifying the weather cover, using a "step" drill bit (see photo) to create the size holes needed.
See photo, or you can check out the TrailCamCover, type a Google search or let me know if you have questions.

Many years taking photos in the outdoors, finding materials to make a cover that was better than the last one, a cover to protect against moisture, falling objects, animal tampering, harsh outdoor elements. Personally I've made 100s of homemade covers, but wanted a cover that was durable and protective...some help before replacing a camera.
The TrailCamCover was designed to aid in the photo opportunity, the photos I get using the cover haven't changed, the clarity, brightness and other characteristics are not impeded, there are slots in the rear that allow you to raise or lower the cover if needed. I was pretty happy with the results and wanted to share with others. The cover is 6x5x5 (lxwxh) fitting many size cameras. The material is easy to modify, using a "step" bit to make the antenna hole for cellular cameras. Honestly, I conceal my covers to reduce their appearance in the woods, concealing with camouflage paint colors and a maple leaf cluster.

3d states that a property owner is exempt from the rule on his own property.
If that ever goes away you could always put up security cameras...
