And excessive force? Both knife and a gun only have 1 side that could hurt you, a chair has at least 4 dangerous legs...

Why not blame society? When I was young and I got some punishment at school, at home they would at least double that punishment. Now parents call their lawyer...
Do you believe that a parent called the teacher and blamed her that she didn't give 3 warnings to his son before he was punished? What's the educational value of this? You can shoot 2 times because they are only allowed to shoot back after 3 shots???

Often "an eye for an eye" works faster and better than a lawyer...
