I like it mate. It doesn't look overly complicated to build either. You done good buddy.

Your shed is great compared to mine mate...you can actually move around with ease.

I could use one of those for a lot of things. Good job with your crafty ideas!

That's art... I have to admit that I have been searching for the bike, so that your wife could run the belt when the power is out...

Actually a standard 24 inch bike wheel can be deflated just enough to fit a 72 inch belt.. and right away you get a nice 72 inch hollow ground wheel.
I am actually thinking of making one of this but have not figure out how to track the belt properly.

There ya goes Vince, easy way to make a linisher.
Not expensive, jut need some scraps.

That video is missing tracking wheel or belt tracking mechanism.
Not too difficult to make either.
You can see my tracking mechanism on the image I post above.

Actually nothing wrong with that, I started with that on my beginning days.
It works but there are a few issues using that:
1. noise hand belt sander are noisy due to the small motor
2. short belt = heat not taken away thus the belt running hotter
3. limited choice of belts

If you are going in this direction, get the BIGGEST sander you can find/afford.
