Here in Central Kansas, trap shooting is very popular. If you are looking for a good double duty gun, it is hard to beat the venerable 870 WingMaster or the 1187 Semi-Auto. I can’t count the number of good shooters I still see on the trap range with the Remingtons—they win a ton of turkeys and hams in the fall turkey shoots, and one of the best shooters I know that came from this area, (1964 Bronze medalist in the Tokyo Olympics), started his career with an 870.

The most important part is making sure the gun fits you. I agree with the above post…a good shooter with a good fitting $600 gun will beat a poor shooter with a $10,000 trap gun that doesn’t fit properly.
