My handle is taken from the name of the town I was born in. Of course it is also the first name my folks decided to give me. Wink I'm not very original when it comes to things like "handles". Maybe I should take a different handle. I'll check and see if I can change it Laughing

Have a super week everyone......."Blaine"

My handle is no big deal, it is short for Ken Bisbee. All my life I have been called Bis and use that handle on other forums. But the for some reason this forum will not allow 3 letter handles, so kbis it is.
Have a great day.
Ken

My was taken for my current favorite caliber in the gun cabinet. Very Happy

I'm presently working with a newer caliber to see what it can do,.. some people term it an alphabet caliber,... the .300 Remington SAUM.

I had participated in a lottery for a "Choice of a rifle or handgun" put on by the MCRGO organization in 2004 and was one of the lucky people drawn,.. I chose the Remington 673 Guide Rifle in the .300 SAUM caliber.

I made this choice due to the overwhelming public statements that this round probably won't be around long due to the .300WSM,.. and I really wanted a Guide Rifle I wanted it to see just WHAT this caliber could do and so far I have been pretty impressed with it's accuracy and performance.

I'm still developing different loads for it but it has proven itself with both the Hornady and Nosler brand pills sitting on top of Reloader #22 and #19. I'm now working with the MagPro powder to see if there are any better results that I can squeeze out of her.

My handle reflects the place where I live. I live in the Wild Horse Valley.

shrpshtrjoe- I love living in the sticks, but does have its disadvantages. The last time we lost service is when lightning struck the box across the road from me. Everyone lost service except the first house on our road. The phone co. fixed our lines and then the only one without service was the first house on our road.
Or when we first moved here, I got phone calls almost everyday about adding a second line for my computer. I finally gave in and said yes. They come out to hook me up and there are no spare lines. It took them almost 3 months and 5,000 feet of cable to get my second line in.
It still beats living in the city.

I live in town and hunt alot of state walk in only areas. This causes me to have to walk in long distances and then pack out the game. This allows me to hunt pretty much on my own.

Longwalker,
I like the sound of that, sounds a lot like the way I hunt. I walk quite a bit, and when I put something down I hike it out on my own. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy .
Lets hear more from all of you about your handles, this has become a fun topic to read Smile .

My Handle was given to me by my old muzzle loading club members. I got tired of shooting my TC Hawken and told everyone I was moving to a flintlock. Well 8 months later I finished my project, a .54 cal Flintlock modeled after a couple of rifles that I saw in a book that were from @1805 - 1812. It looked great and being somewhat sneeky I went out alone and got used to shooting it. I worked it over and you could not tell the diffrence from it or a percussion rifle going off. So the first match I told everyone I would be using my new flintlock. Everyone told me I didn't have a chance so I made a few side wagers and the rest is history. Got a beautiful possibles bag from the Easter Rondevous that year with my side wagers from that day. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
