HHhhhmmmm pretty much nuthin...hope they're well paid, they spent enough time rehashing the tripe. Unfortunate how LaPierre's argument about restricting law abiding citizens and doing nothing for the criminal element has gone right by their heads like an errant fly in the wind. The words of opposition in this seem to get nowhere with plenty of rallying on the other side. Seems to be a partisan bickering with the bullies on top and the good guys layin on the ground with their legs flailing (again).

It's all certainly about gun restrictions and not dealing with violence, as if guns were the cause of violence. I hope they don't allow this head of steam to build, but as ruthless as the opposition has been in the media, I'm sure there will be no prisoners taken, but rather shot. The incredible bias in the media....it's State owned, no independents can survive the onslaught and massive powers of the government. We're drowning rats in a sea of filth.

Progressives being progressive, ignoring the past, moving forward for the betterment of man-kind. Got my seatbelt on, or wearing my motorcycle helmet, those were the first things I remember about the government caring so deeply for it's citizenry. Everyone thought, " well how can they tell us to do that"? it's a free country! Them were the daiz! I'm sure it's helped stifle our car accident medical costs and driver's insurance costs, just can't find the statistics...the 55mph federal speed limit sure did too, and it saved so much gas, but after regulating the stacked on safety requirements for cars and trucks....oh well...they helped a lot, the flimsy crushing of the newer cars (that cost as much and more than my house) have saved something....jobs I guess....I guess this administration is maybe on a path for creating jobs? Restricting guns....more money for I dunno what...I'm at a loss, the industry will put more research into combating crime? cause the government is ignoring it?

Yea that's it! The government is playing dumb, we're all saying "hey we have the cure" but they play dumb and make some retarded moves in the opposite direction, we're yelling at them to turn around and face the music, meanwhile they're sayin "I'm sure if we frustrate them enough, they'll come up with a crime abatement solution that'll knock our socks off". Maybe that's it....I dunno

No Suz they dont have a cure, they just want to be seen doing something relatively easy.
Fixing the mental health system is HARD, easier to just role over the minorities rights and be remembered as a "great and strong leader" by the minions in the media.
Ultimately the UN is behind this world wide push for "disarming the general population", your second amendment enshrining the right to bear arms has been a thorn in their arse for many decades, now they see their chance.
If the level of gun control these wankers want really worked we wouldnt still be having drive by shootings with handguns in western sydney and melbourne, hand guns here are tightly controlled, at least for the law abiding, seems if you're a lebanese drug dealer the rules mean nothing, a fact they ruling class continually and conveniently overlooks.
England seems to have similar problems after a TOTAL ban on handguns was enforced, apparently the crims didnt listen there either.
Its chaper and easier to blame and ban an inatimate object, rather than fix the underlieing reasons for violence, usually drugs and mental health issues.
Dont let them get a foot in the door.

Sen Diane Feinstein unhappy with the list of people testifying at yesterdays hearing whined and complained to committee chairman Sen. [Patrick] Leahy and in doing so, she was granted her own gun hearing.

What does it accomplish to have a one sided hearing? They do that in the media every day. They'll interview 3 in agreement and 1 opposed, sort of a token display of opposition (you know as if there is any). Selfish spoiled brats run the country! They're supposed to work FOR us not against us. This tyrannical display of control and manipulation will be quelled by the Senate and House, they have to.

I wanna have a vote on a measure to include only those people in agreement to having ice-cream after dinner, we'll let in a couple people to discuss having cake too but it'll be ugly. She's setting up the ugly to prove that the opposition is just a bunch of hot air in the room that can easily be ignored. She's saying "Oh we'll have our ice-cream, and I'm gonna do everything I can to get my way". Kick her out of the playground and lock the gate behind her, she doesn't know how to play fair and doesn't wanna learn.

After watching a number of clips of these anti-gun politicians discussing "gun control" I am astounded at their obvious ignorance about guns and the Second Amendment. They don't even know what to call the parts of the guns they want to ban. And they don't have a clue what the Second Amendment is about. Now I must admit that the ignorance of the 2nd may very well be deliberate.

Nice one dhc4! Well to answer your question, they have so much trouble because it's not their agenda. Along with the UN they want to disarm us all. The disguise of gun violence abatement and the media's strong hammering of recent killings (no matter in what country) keeps the ball rolling and perpetuates the snowballing build up of anti's sentiment. Just as Obama pressured the health care bill through with out anybody being able to read it, he's using recent killings as a springboard to regulate guns. He's a progressive and they don't use history as a vehicle toward the future, they don't even use it all. To them that's in the past, but this is the future and we need to change the way we do things. It's especially absurd to use that way of thinking in this country and is counter to our established anti-tyrannical constitution.
