Like Elvis, the first place I looked was the ADI Handloaders data.

My powder of choice would be Varget (AR2208) and looking at the data for the 180gn and 215gn bullets I note that there is a 1.5gn difference (41gn - 180gn bullet and 39.5gn - 215gn bullet). I think Gelan has hit the nail squarely on the head with 39.2gn of Varget mate...although the other two loads look good as well.

I found this info on the net Punkin...it may be of use to you mate.

303 Britsh load data

As usual mate...start a few grains lower and work up whilst checking for pressure signs.

I have 2 of Uncle Nicks books but as usual when you need 1 you can't find either

if that Nick Harvey its not in my edition either!!!
pumpkin ifn you are after a plinking load see if you can beg/borrow/aquire some 125grn .311 projectiles intended for 7.62x39mm Im told they work fine and dandy and the recoil would be sweet stuff all.
