I was in a gun shop yesterday and nearly fell over. They has all kinds of primers (except no Winchester) in all sizes and the shelves were packed. The greatest surprise were the prices that were from early last year. Large and small rifle and pistol primers were $26.00 per 1,000. IMR powder was $21.00 and they had it all. I hope we have turned the corner. Take care...

Start stocking up! We have lots of powder and primers but the prices haven't come down at all.

Now every one will be broke for awhile...... hopefully it will give the manufacturers time to build some stock and bring the prices down.

Powder and primers are more available around here as well prices haven't changed though, Walmart still sells out of .45 and 223 as fast as they stock the shelves.

I have noticed that Walmart cannot keep .22 l.r. ammo on the shelves. Take care...

I noticed this the other day when I went in to Walmart to get a variety of 22LR for my new M&P15-22. It was gone. I have seen some primers but still haven't seen large and small rifle primers. I haven't been home for a week so hope there is more on the shelves when I get back to Fort Worth from our Holiday trip.

Small world. I drove through Allentown yesterday. Came down from Schnectady NY to Spring City PA (north of PHL) to see my Brother. We head to the PHL airport in about an hour to head home. Some beautifyl country where you are at!

Joe,
I am seeing the same thing in the gun shops I visit. More stuff is available and prices do vary. All the best...

I also went to one of our local gun stores yesterday. They had a great stock of large and small rifle primers, plus a very good selection of powders. I bought all that I could afford. Hopefully the tide is turned, at least for awhile. Smile

Went to Cabela's over the weekend. Lots of small rifle primers (first time I've seen them in a year). No large rifle this time. Some powder but very limited, about 10 types. Some are still having trouble getting Varget. I also couldn't believe that the 22LR ammo was in limited supply. Had one a couple of choices.
