Well, its been well over a year and I am still at it, Savagedeath has returned to the land of sand and is helping capture coyote kills on video. We just recently took a nice cat and filmed the whole she-bang. Heres a few stills from the video. I hope this works............

Stills look good! A friend and I have been discussing videoing our deer hunts. Even if you can't get video of the actual shot you can still get video of the deer/critters that you aren't shooting, not to mention the scenery. I've seen some pretty spectacular sun rises and sun sets while hunting. Ideally you'd have someone dedicated to just shooting the video, maybe a family member more interested in cameras than guns.

Bonita,
What kind of video camera, with what lens do you use? How big is it? Do you use a tripod in a blind?
I have a little still camera on my belt but if the subject is much more than a few yards away the pictures are too small to see and if I zoom in it's very hard to hold on the target. About all I can figure out how to take is after action shots.
I did get some Turkeys on my little camera, at about 50 feet away, but as you can see, the pictures didn't turn out very good. Turkeys were south of Flagstaff around Willard Springs last week during the Elk hunt.

Been using a Sony handy-cam (digital) for the action, mounted on Savagedeaths gun. Shaky on his kills but great on mine. Hard to put a gun down and film the hunt. We both love the hunt and aint nobody crazy enough to come along and film. Ha Ha. On the interview footage after the kill we also use a Canon digital camera---10 mega pixel. Use the stills for magazine articles and such. Right now we're holing about 40 minutes of finished production. Worst part about doing this is the drive space needed on my computer. Right now it takes about 30 gigs. If I get a full hour of video stored after editing, it would take about 45 gigs.
