You Aussies need to get together a plan for when you rewrite your constitution. You need to make sure that your right to defend yourself is protected as a "natural right". This crap about government giving you the privilege to live is hog wash. You need to educate people about their God given (natural) rights. The same rights that exist for all life forms on Earth.

If the government made a call for all those with a last name beginning with "S" to assemble at the curb so they could be shot to reduce over-population and make the world better for the children, would you do it? You are saying the government has the power and it would be a lawful act.

It's malarkey and governments don't have rights. The government gets its lawful power from the governed. If they are abusive the abused stand up and revolt. That has been true throughout the ages and the world. Make them recognize your right to live, to protect your life and property.

I'll even volunteer to write it for you.

That is great in theory Paul, and it would have worked a treat 100 years ago mate...but not in this day and age when the Govt controls the laws, Police and military.

They only way we can revolt these days is to somehow organise an all out civil war or at the polling booth, which is what we have just done.

Pretty sure that's what King George thought too, when a few hundred thousand patriots defeated the most powerful and well train military force in the world. It's not going to be pretty, and it ain't gonna be nice, but it has to happen.

I agree with PaulS. The Constitution of the U.S does not give any power to the government. It limits the power of government. All other rights are reserved to the states or the people.

If the government ever shows up with a truck to collect my guns they will be disappointed. Most are stored in an off-site vault. The rest will be used to defend the homestead. All the best...
