There is a rat in my store, I think it sneaked in during the rain a few days ago.
It has been tripping the alarm sensor during the night for a few nights now and its driving me crazy.

I have been using glue traps, spring traps, snares, figure 4 etc but the varmint still have free range in the store.
I set up my trail cam and saw the varmint running around them.. the bastard!

Anyhow just want to rant.. I'll get it soon..

Paul is right mate...they cannot resist peanut butter. I smear it all over the trip lever, and also put a raw peanut on the teeth of the trip lever as well...you will get him.

Another option is to lay in ambush with an air pistol or air rifle... BWHAHAHAHAHA Laughing Laughing Laughing Cheers

to add a little advice to PaulS's suggestion: when you catch it alive, put it on fire and let it escape. The screams and the smell will make all other rats run away.

and another tip: peanutbutter might be OK, but in our part of the world they also love beer... maybe that's why they don't trust cheese that much anymore.

And to give you some moral support: usually they don't come alone...

Don't laugh! Last fire on our military shooting area was explained as "someone shot a rabbit on fire and he spread the fire".
BUT: a colonel did the test and explained it was impossible to light the fur of a living rabbit, so they had to look for other explanations...

But with rats it's not the burning rat, but the smell (and the screams) of a rat that got 'enlighted'...

Goddamned rat didnt show up last night.
Alarm didnt trip, and no capture on the trailcam.

I hope it gone somewhere and die.

But it could be a political party trained rat.. gone to help the election.
