ok so i dropped the charge to 45gr bl-c2 and started going up. the cases started sticking at 46gr and a few at 45.5gr so i dropped it to 45.3gr and no more problems with that. velocity averaged @ 2815 ...

ok thanks. i normally dont use the crimp groove on the bullets because i seat the bullet out too far for that. but thanks for the info. i'll try that and see what happens tomorrow.

ok so too much pressure and what about the crimp? too much of one? or is that what your thinking is hanging it up? i am using the lee factroy crimp

if your useing a 223 personally i would use a 40-55gr nosler Balistic tip and hodgdon bl-c2. this is my favorite combination. it is also what i use for most of my hunting in the 223. and they work gre ...

i know your talking about an AR with 55gr BT's. but i have always used the noslers in my bolt gun. and gotten a fairly high velocity range with them. i havent dond velocity testing with the 55 grainer ...
