Missed the hides bit - no left on the animal. To keep the hides the best and really the only way is to take them off in halves due to the hump.

I have tried it - back straps are OK on the younger ones but usuall bring back meat for the dogs - makes them fart like hell and really pongs but they love it!

An update for those that may be interested. By now most of you would know we are having a multi-million dollar government sponsored camel cull starting in 2010.
The target is 600,000 roughly culled.

Just a suggestion, but why not load the '06 with a heavier projectile?
I load my 308 with 150's and load the '06 with 180's for bigger game.

My favorite is a Brno mod 2 with a crappy Stirling model 14 that shoots just about anything into 1" at 50 metres a close second. Very Happy
