The directions on the can say to spray some up inside your sizing die before you size the first case, in addition to spraying the cases.
I've had good luck using the Hornady spray, and other br ...

I did try some H100V in the 25-06, along with a few other powders. I was loading Nosler 100 Accubonds.
Unfortunately, my rifle didn't group as well with H100V as it did with another powder, so ...

I've used shot loads (Speer shot cups) in 38 Special, 357 Magnum, and 44 Special. Some time at the pattern board will tell you that they are a close range proposition- 10 feet or so being the ideal ...

The first step is to get a manual or two, and read them. In addition to loading data, manuals (most of them) give step by step illustrated instructions on how to reload, and why you do things.

Firing an FMJ bullet of gilding metal/lead construction is not going to damage your rifling. The barrel doesn't care what the tip of the bullet is like- that part doesn't touch the barrel, anyway.

Tech spec man, have you used the same bullet with another powder?
Rifles have preferences, like people do. If the bullet and powder are new to this rifle, either one could be what the rifle does ...

Just an observation, nothing scientific, but I think deer will move a bit more during the day in conditions of low light. Like fog, a steady light rain with heavy cloud cover, etc.

All good suggestions.
I will add one more: a 1,000$ rifle isn't likely to shoot well for long, if ever, with a 39.95 bargain basement scope on it. Put quality glass on it.
I would say that ...

My preference is the now discontinued Hodgdon 870 or the currently available Accurate Arms 8700 powde ...

One factor that should be added to this debate is that the first Nosler Ballistic Tips were considerably softer than the Ballistic Tip that is currently on the market. If you tried them when they fi ...
