If only three I would have the following:

22 cal Henry Golden Boy
12 gage model 97 pump Winchester or one of the clones
30-06 in bolt action, pump or semi-auto

I use CCI Blazers in my Henry Goldenboy, at 20 yards everything into a 2 inch hot spot, even better groupings at 25 yards.

I believe that a H&R Buffalo Classic in 45-70 one year won the "Quigley" long range match here in the states. I have a Marlin Limited II in 45-70 and it is a shooter, getting 2 inch groups at 100 yar ...
