I have a couple of bricks (500 rods a brick) of Winchester PowerPoint I bought a couple of years ago (pre COVID) and it’s shoots well out of my bunny gun. I also have a quantity of CCI MiniMag that also shoots very well for me. Apart from that, I only use LR or Remington SubSonics in my old rimfire rifles.
Aloys, the only .22 rifle manufacturer we have in Australia is Lithgow. They have been manufacturing rifles (mainly SMLE for the military) since the early 1900’s. After WWII they started building rimfire rifles using surplus SMLE .303 parts. Suffice to say these .22 rifles are magnificent. I have a Lithgow Model #1 single shot that came out of the factory in July 1946 and it still shoots better than I can. These rifles were designed and built for the 40gr RN Long Rifle bullet, and they shoot fantastic using that ammo, as well as SubSonics.
As an aside, Lithgow (now owned by Thales I believe) now also build the Steyr F89 (and later models) for the military.
I still have my Single Shot Bayard mate…I won’t let go of that any time soon.
Bushy, the 20g, 3” #5 loading will definitely “sweep the porch clean” and stop anyone from “passing wind in Church” mate,
no arguments there.
