Well done Joe. I'm not familiar with the M & P (haven't touched a pistol in about 8 yrs because of our archaic laws) but I doubt that you will be disappointed with it mate...and 51 rounds is a goodly number to carry if you need them mate.

Cheers, Vince

I think you did well with the M&P. I haven't had a chance to shoot one yet but a friend of mine who was a Glock FANATIC switched completely to the M&Ps after he shot one.

Shot a few M&Ps Joe, and you won't be sorry.

I own 3 Sigs, P226 9mm, P220 45acp, and P220 9mm.
I wouldn't trade any of them.

However, I can't agree more with the gangs views on the Sig .22 autos.
I have shot many, and every time that I see one, it looks and feels like a great Sig---until I shoot the piece of crap.
All of the problems that Mike has had, I saw first had while shooting every one of them.

I can't believe that Sig would put their name on this junk.

I even had a chance to buy one dirt cheap, but figured a sling shot was more dependable with less headaches Mad

Eric

I think you made a good choice getting the M&P.

My Sig 290 is back at the factory for the 5th time since I bought it new in Jan. They already replaced the gun once and it is now back for light strike issues and has also had a dead night sight replaced. Go over to the Sigtalk.com and there are a lot of reports on various QC issues on a lot of different models.

They aren't what they used to be.

My M&P has never had an issue since I bought it in '08

Frankly I'm glad you got the M&P over the Sig. I only have one SIg, a P290 I bought in January '12. I had it a week before it went back to the factory the first time. By March it had been back 4 times for various issues including new problems induced by their gun mechanic and they finally replaced it with a new gun. Since March that one has had a dead night sight and also been back to the factory for light strikes - but they decided there wasn't anything wrong and didn't do a thing to fix it.

Wow! I sure do love my Ruger. 30 years, over 40000 rounds through it and it still groups and never misses a beat.
I feelfor you guys with guns you can't trust - worse than a politition!

I talk to a SIG rep about the Mosquito (at the NRA convention in Charlotte, NC in 2010) and he told me to lube it more... My buddy has not contacted them about his gun yet.

The Mosquito was a poor example for Sig. I'll bet they wish they had never made that gun. I own 4 sig's, P-238, P-232, 1911 sub compact /45. and the sig. 1911 .22lr.. The .22 shoots flawlessly. unlike the mosquito..
Sig should just admit failure on the Mosquito and replace them with the new 1911 22lr.. free of charge!
