That pilot requested permission to fire SIX times before being cleared!! Yeah, we're really “indiscriminately” shooting up the countryside ... (and I say that with the deepest sarcasm I can!)

Aren't we fighting a war here? If you don't want to get shot by the U.S. Don't be in the area and don't carry automatic rifles...
I hate to sound real unconcerned about this, but I[or we] didn't allow their country to get into this condition. They did and now we have clean it up for them...If a few of them so called inocent get in the way of a [out of control] bullet...So be it.

I have to say thank you for the support! This is the kind of crap that we as soldiers are saddled with. Our Rules of Engagement when I was there did not allow us to engage an individual digging a hole and placing an IED unless we were under an imminent threat. At certain times it did loosen up but not often.
But where my brother was there was so much activity that any male outside after curfew was taking there life in there own hands. They were losing tanks and bradleys on a daily basis.
Once again thanks for the support guys, I am not sure if you know how much your support means to an old soldier like me.

The military should release more videos like that first one.
I LOVE the second clip above, man that's very funny.

I have some clips some where I'll see if i can find them. When I first came back from Iraq I didn't like Achmen at all but I started ti think about it and decided it is actually hilarious. You tube had quite a few clips by Jeff Dunham. If Achmed had his own army life would be good.

We need to kick out all the media and take care of business the way a military force is meant to be used. Anyone with a camera should be treated as an enemy combatant.

The biggest mistake the hierarchy ever made is to allow the embedding of journalists into military units and sub-units.
It has created absolute mayhem for the military leaders...the REAL ones who have "hands on control" of the soldiers.
Now, not only do soldiers have to do their job, and support their mates, they have to look out for the damn journalists who have no military training and don't give a damn about anything but their "story". These morons often deliberately put themselves in the line of fire, compromise the mission in more ways than one, demand to be protected, then scream blue murder if they don't get their own way and "their story".
The soldier and leader also have to be mindful about how their actions will be portrayed by the journalists, and worry about the impact of their actions on a public back home. If the journalist sees the opportunity for a sensational story, then the "on the spot" leader may well suffer a Trial by Media for his actions back home. Often, the first time a leader hears of this is when he is called up to explain his actions. A journalist will never let the truth get in the way of a good story!!!!
If a soldier is killed in the line of duty...it is portrayed as a bad thing, but acceptable because of the nature of their duties. Let the same thing happen to a journalist and watch the sh1te hit the fan. Not only are the "bad guys" to blame, but the military unit / sub-unit the journalist was moving with are harangued and blamed for allowing the journalist to become a casualty.
Use the bloody lot of them as mine detectors I say!!!!!
Cheers, Vince
