Saw this in the news today, and thought to myself that here is a good liberal, that is taking a lot of heat for her position. I have sent her an email supporting her views on gun ownership and thanking her for not cowtowing to Pelosi and her ilk. Very Happy

NEW YORK (AP) - New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whose pro-gun stance has attracted criticism from fellow New York Democrats, has moved two rifles she kept under her bed for protection. Gillibrand spokesman Matt Canter says the rifles were removed for security reasons because their location had been reported. He says having that information in the public domain posed a security threat to the family. In an interview with Newsday published earlier Monday, Gillibrand said she and her husband, Jonathan, keep the rifles to protect their upstate New York home. The couple has two young children. Gillibrand says if she wants to have a weapon in the home, that should be her right. Canter says the guns were always locked in a case, unloaded and inaccessible to children.
