Glad to see that we are over 700 strong. Wonder when we will hit 1,000. All the best...

Well I didnt even know about this place . Was talking to me Oz mate TonyC and said he was here looking at PB . So I come and cked it out ..
Sad part is , I been here one week and am in the top twenty posters with 700 members .. So participation by and large stinks , which is normal in most forums ..

Yea tons of people use the site but dont post in the forums. It's always been this way. I noticed in the activity logs even 2 years ago that say the reloading databases would get 100 hits per messageboard hit.
If people want to get involved in the forums they are welcome and I'd love to see it, but if they only use HuntingNut for say the State Agency links or PointBlank or anything else specific thats A-OK too.
We are getting tons of traffic just not much in the way of new posts.

Folks must just be a bit shy Too bad too, 'cause there is a lot of experienced shooters/hand loaders here. I get a lot of questions answered....all I have to do is ask. The reloading data bases are great, but talking to "real people" about specific issues can best be done here. I love this forum....thanks Dallon....you've done a fantastic job....God bless you

It is a great forum. Maybe some people feel they would would be boring the rest of us with there questions. I know I probably did with my beaver/rat question . DallanC you are doing a great job.

Fellers,
Thanks for the hearty welcomes to us newbies...
Probably what keeps some from just chiming in on the forum might be an uncertainty about our computer skills, especially us older types--afraid we'll botch it up, double-post, write to the wrong thread, etc....
Maybe I'm just speaking for myself (I really think not) but I appreciate the patience shown by y'all towards us...

Howdy all…
As a long time member, I just wanted to take a minute to welcome the new guys to our recently updated Hunting Nut site. Over the years Hunting Nut has often been compared to an ol’ time general store where friends gather ‘round the potbelly stove and shoot the bull. It's like one big family here (a good bunch of folks too).
Be it a pesky beaver problem, finding a good load for your favorite shooting iron or whatever, don't be bashful. ... Pull up a chair and stay a while.

I frequent some other sites as well as this one, but this is the site that I really like to post on. Mostly due to the members who post here, we have a lot of Gentlemen/Women here who are not rude when you ask a question, and they are very helpful.
So thanks to all you who make this site a nice place to visit and really make it feel like home.

I have to agree with coyotehunter and knifeboy, this a very hick back group. You don't get blasted for asking about a certain cal. or gun or even about beavers :).
Its just to bad we all could not meet face to face someday. I guess there are just to many miles between us.
Blain- Glad you enjoyed my beaver problem. I was surprized that 47 people would reply and that 377 people viewed it. I am sure the beavers would have been impressed. Now if you can tell me how to get rid of the snakes, I will be in good shape :).

I am pleased to see that we have 900 members so the 1,000 mark is getting close. All the best...
