Hey Stovepipe... Yeah mate i loved them, and still do. Their only problem with the early ones was their electrics, where on pitch black nights, you would find yourself in total darkness at 60+ miles an hour. Not a problem if you are riding with someone, or you are in front of a car or even behind one, but scares the living crap out of you when you are alone, especially when it happens on winding mountain roads. The trick was that you looked back as you applied the rear brake, find the white line and use it to guide you to a stop, as the brake light was the only one that didn't blow! That's Lucas lighting & electrics for you!
The Triumph over here was commonly called.... The Prince of darkness!
Cheers erny.

Sounds like you are speaking from experience mate! Yeah, the Pommie cars used to suffer electrical problems as well, with the early Jaguars being the worst effected!
Cheers erny.
