Well let me put it this way. Need a partner?

I checked for you and the price has gone up a bit. It's listing for $136.75 now, but I'm still willing to help you out and give you $273.50! LOL!!
In all honesty I recently saw a 1972 second generation 4 3/4" .357 that was 98% because of a drag line on the cylinder. It was wearing real elephant ivory grips, no box or factory papers and asking price of $2000. How much of that price is condition and how much can be assigned to the ivory grips I don't know.

Last insurance appraisal on mine was $1,100 to $1,200. That was in 2000 and for a well used, but cared for Colt.

You might want to check the Ruger .45 Colt-.45ACP conversion revolver.
Around here, it sells for around $485.00.
This might be my next purchase.

I ordered this Taylor & Co. Smoke Wagon 5 1/2" .45 Colt on Sunday afternoon from Bud's and picked it up at my local gun dealer this afternoon. Now that is what I call fast service! I've got to say this is one beautifully made handgun. Fit and finish could not be better. It's action is slick as hell with a nice 2.5lb. trigger pull.

Yes they do and it's very similar what is done to the Taylor Smoke Wagon. Here's a photo of the El Patron and you can't tell the difference between the two.

Is there much difference in price? I am also looking for a 45 SAA to go with my Tauras (sp?) Thunderbolt.

I think the biggest difference is in what you can't see. I also looked at the El Patron which is about $120 to $140 less, but for that extra money you get a gun that's more than ready right out of the box. A lot of CAS shooters send their guns out to be tuned or buy them from a gunsmith ready to go, this is timed and tuned by Cody Conagher, a well known gunsmith in CAS circles. He also redesigned the internals to make it smoother and more reliable. I had mentioned the Smoke Wagon to Jeff Quinn of GunBlast www.gunblast.com/ and he had said it was an excellent gun. I trust Jeff more than I do any gun rag and I usually agree with his gun reviews. I certainly agree in regard to this gun.
