We have half decent flocks of Canadas showing in the fields now and the snows and blues are abundant. The mallards are starting to offer some decent shooting as well as other species, but the northern birds are not in yet.
There are almost no hunters around this year, neither locals or US shooters. Everyone seems to be feeling the pinch pretty bad. I think the wife and I will go out and dust a few mallards this weekend. The ponds on our farm and surrounding area have enough birds that it should be fun.

I have some friends that quit going north when they had to get a passport........I'll bet others did the same!!!

Could be, I guess we all have the Department of Homeland Security to thank for that. Oh well, we will all get use to it.........the rest of the world has required them for a long time as you know.
We have a couple of provinces (BC and Manitoba) that are offering high tech drivers licences that are accepted for border crossing instead of a passport. I think I heard North Dakota was trying to do that.........are there any others that you know of?

Ontario is doing it as well.
Funny thing is the new drivers license is really more secure then the passport. Shame we can't just use the same license for anywhere in the world travel. Stupid lousy requirement to stamp a passport. Your travel is kept in the other countries immigration database, when you enter and exit the country that is why they scan it in. So why even bother with the stamp anymore?

Do those Honkers have a pasport? If not we will just have to shoot them, or at them..... Just doing our part to keep those feathered terrorists at bay, or in it.
Best,
