Should I buy the 44 special/mag or the 44mag dies because my pistol can shoot 44 mag and special. There is no difference in cost thanks

I would buy the 44 Special/44 Mag. dies since you would have more flexibility. That said, I have rarely shot 44 Special ammo in my 44 Mag. One reason not to shoot 44 Special ammo in a 44 Mag. is the fact that doing so will cause powder fouling in the chamber beyond where the case ends and if you do it a lot some erosion in the chamber. This may cause sticky case chambering and extraction when later shooting 44 Mag. ammo.

Get the combo !!! You’ll have the added versatility that way.
The only difference is the spacer that comes with the combo that allows you to set up for both so you don’t have to reset the die when changing from one to the other.

Go with the combo and keep your cylinder chambers scrubbed out.
