|
Well they moved her over to a specialty hospital where they will work on getting her better and off the machine she is getting closer all the time it sounds like but not yet ready to be fully off of it. She is ALOT more aware of what is going on and I think as she improves they will put in a valve to let her talk, not sure if that is going to be good or not, he he he! I kind of made her made last time as I told her to stop moving around all the time and leave the stuff they have her hooked to alone! And one neat thing is that will let me bring up our animals! NO!; not me and Adrian though we do sometimes resemble some! But I need to get our smallest cat Sasha into the vet and get her shots up to date and then I can take her up to Cathy and she really would like that. Sasha is a strange cat as she likes to be held very close to the point of squeezed even, and she will meow every time you pet her if you wait a few seconds between each touch. She is alot like a cougar(Puma) in her movements and Cathy will very glad to see her. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks again for the thoughts and prayers, whichever way you may have been lead as I really thought last week that she would not be here with us, but I am thinking she really does have a good fighting chance to make it to our ten year mark(Spet. 4th by the way).
My best to all on here!!!!! Arron

Arron, it is really great to hear that Cathy is improving. Sounds like our prayers are helping mate.
A valve to help her talk eh....being a valve, it will be ON / OFF....hm, methinks I like this idea....wonder if they can retro fit it to other wives... um, I mean women.
Mate, one thing I really like is the way you are maintaining your sense of humour. I suppose you and Adrian could sit beside Cathy and cry and be morose all day, but that won't do any of you any good. By maintaining your great attitude, no matter what you feel inside, you are being strong for both Cathy and Adrian...this can only assist Cathy in her struggle...well done mate, I'm proud of you.
Will continue to pray for her recovery as far as it is possible mate.
Cheers, Vince

Well the valve is in and I need to get the cat in to get those shots. In the next few days we are having the longer term care plan meeting for her, and I am REALLY happy she will be able to participate. So having Cathy involved makes it beter all around now. Well need to ge out of here for now later

Arron,
Being a long term caregiver for a loved one is tough, but you do have a young one to watch out for and while that is sometimes difficult it is a blessing in a way, as it adds purpose to what you must do every day. Great to hear that Cathy is improving.
Best,
Ed
