Ok I'm plowing through the multitude of print options for the new version, and as always I'm trying to come up with a good layout that is both readable as well as using the page wisely to reduce the amount of pages that will get generated. Some printed pages are straight forward and easy to layout... some are complicated where we have a multitude of things to print that dont always lay out in a pretty fashion.
I want input for the following. This is for Load data... ignore that there is no info shown regarding what caliber / firearm this is for, right now I only care for opinions on if this is too cluttered or not. If it is too cluttered, suggestions on making it easier to read. I'm doing the temp layout in MS Word, so its easy to slide things around to achieve an acceptable look. Once I have that, I can code up what gets positioned where in the printing.
This type of layout is what would appear if you for example, printed all the loads for a specific firearm, where 1 load after another would follow on the page.

It would be nice to have more case info i.e. case length, OAL & COAL as in 1.8 and lot number for powder and primer as a new load should be worked up again when that lot supply is used up.
Form is good and not cluttered.

Oops, COL is a field we have in v2.0, I just forgot to put it in this print template. Pretend its there just after the "Crimp" field.

It may take a bit of getting used to but it is all there.
some fields that I don't use but I can always put "none" in those. Here is what I am really used to:
===============================================
Reloading Record
Load Name
Remington 30-’06 Springfield
Weapon make Remington Bore-to-sight height (inches) 1.875
Weapon model 03A3 Twist rate 1 in 10
Barrel length 24 inch Serial number 339xxxx
Case make Winchester
Cartridge head stamp 30-’06 Springfield
Cartridge designation 30-’06 Springfield
Trimmed length (inches) 2.494
Over-all length (inches) 3.295
Bullet make Speer
Bullet weight (grains) 165
Bullet type SpBT
Ballistic coefficient .477
Bullet diameter .308
Powder make Hodgdon
Powder type H-414
Powder charge weight (grains) 56
Wad (make and type) none
Primer (make and type) CCI 250
Recorded velocity (at 5 yards) Muzzle Velocity (FPS)
Standard deviation (FPS) Extreme spread (FPS)
Sight-in-range (yards) Group size (at 100 yards)

==============================================
When you post all the spacing is gone - when I use it, it is in a table format. The extra fields will help others and that is great.

I am new to this forum and would like to say "Howdy all!"
One option I would like to see in this awesome piece of software is the ability to resize the window. I have trouble opening some loads because of the Identical bullet types I have with different powder charges.
Also, some type of feature that allowed you to copy and paste info on Identical bullet loads with only powder charges that differ. Retyping all that info for each load becomes tiresome.
I just started using this software and must say it is the best program I have used for storing loads and helping me site in for the type game I am hunting. My hats off to you for your time and effort in this. Poor folk like me need all the help we can get. I have to scrounge for components and beg the wife to let me buy what I need. But the journey has been worth it.

The new version is resizeable.

The new version organizes things much better and easier to access. The duplicate Data idea is a good one, I'll look into it.

Thanks for the welcome
I work up alot of loads. Some with +/- .1 gr. Others with different seating depths. I will go through alot of hoops to dial in a load. Iam a little picky on my loads. If I can tune them to hit nice groups on the bench, I feel more confidant when I am out in the field. If I miss....its my fault with no way to throw the blame on the gun or ammo. Getting older and my eyes and my wiggle are getting worse :/
So I may have nearly 100 loads for one gun that I worked up to find that sweet spot.
With PointBlank, it has made my journey alot more enjoyable.
The few little complants are just that...FEW. This software is the best I have used and I have used 3 different types and previewed others.
Simple and easy to use is they key to this software.
Peeps such as yourself are a great example of what the internet should be like.

Maybe I am overlooking it but it would be nice to have a place for user remarks associated with the load data. Then one could refer back to his remarks regarding that load.
If a remarks area already exists someone please let me know where it is.
Thanks,
Don

In the load data at the bottom if you click on "large target" in that screen there's a place for notes. That might help ya.
