They are both still shooting, although their spouses do not. Therefore the children have not been exposed to guns and have had no exposure to guns at all. Too bad.

Paul,

You know that topic comes up a lot on gun forums I visit, and I came to the conclusion if my significant other doesn't shoot and doesn't want the kids involved I'll be pulling a "I'm talking the kids shooting tomorrow" and just do it. Laughing

My kids were introduced to shooting with a Marlin 15YN, single shot bolt action .22, with a red dot sight on it. The gun is in the cabinet waiting on my nephew and niece and any future grandkids.

Hear here Pumpkinslinger...I have been teaching my grand daughters and having a ball doing it. They really enjoy shooting with their grandpa...Oldest is 16 and the youngest is 8...I have six all together...

I keep three .22 rifles ( Greenfield M-60, Marlin M-81 and a Ruger 10/22) and one pistol (Colt Woodsman) just for these pleasurable events...

hey grizz, dont rossi have the different stocks you can put on for the different trigger pull for these rifles? i know mossberg does, and this was one of the reasons i picked up a moss 500 for the daughter to use, then as she outgrew it the boychild was growing into it...

Back when Winchester was in business, I purchased a M1300 Youth for my Daughter. It came with a certificate in the box with the shotgun for an adult stock. We sent it in and........lo and behold we got a adult length stock a few weeks later.
Mossberg did that for awhile too.

Now Mossberg includes a 1" spacer in the box to increase the LOP on the youth model stocks.
