Correct me if I'm wrong, but...Meg is a dog, right?
You guys are allowed to hunt deer with dogs? |
yes Meg is my black bitch in above photo...she is my companion and if a ranger sees me with her I will either put on dark glasses and stumble around or say I was told it was a pack horse when I bought her.
we have dopey regulations as to which hunting blocks you are allowed dogs..supposedly to protect flightless birds...there arent ANY in this block and my "pack horse" is under my control at all times.
she is not allowed to chase a deer...only sniff it out and point it out to me so I can administer lead disprin..she gets big pat and tit bits of meat for reward.
I will see if I can post link to brew or fly at work..both amazing indicater dogs.

yip young Kristian dipped out on squeezing trigger...... this time.
thats NZ bush hunting for you,I consider myself a competent snap shooter,(years of running wallabies with .223 does that.) my wee rifle is set up for that kind of environment where 50 yards is a long way visibility wise. if any of the deer had zigged rather than zagged they may well have dropped into his field of view...they didnt.he got a deer to take home and saw how we hunt...very different from plantation forests in Sweden hopefully next time the hunting gods will smile his way.
