we have had no internet since 23rd december as we had to shift. then waited for the wireless modem to arrive.....
then got the lines company to check out the phone lines....
got that sorted.....
hooked up the whole shebang......
nothing
back on the phone to iternet provider.....
round and around in circles
so we were told to have wireless we need a dohicky jamed up the whatsit or it wont work
how that works?? dont ask me..
we had wired broadband with this box
then got adapter so we could go dialup
and now they tell me it needs some plurry dohickymawhatsit to go wireless
so we now have a wireless system hooked up with wires strung along the ceiling
cracks me up you have to laugh or would go completely bonkers

dont tempt me.... but shooting the crap out of the computer may just feel good

I agree wholeheartedly Gelan.

I think the heat has got to my computer. Looked like my video card had fritzed...son-in-law suggested I pull the card out, leave it for a day or so to "relax" (he probably meant me), then clean out the connection on the motherboard with a bicycle pump with a ball inflating needle fitted.

Scary part is...it worked a treat and I am back on line. Only thing is, I don't for how long given the weather here right now.
