You see Coasties are shallow water sailors , not deep water sailors , like us real men were Very Happy

So by being six feet tall , if the ship ever went down , they could walk ashore .. Crying or Very sad

Us Mine Sweeper Sailors do know about Wooden ships snd Iron men. Speaking of "blue water"...Had the privelage of swimming in 7 mile deep water off the Mariannas in the South Pacific...No way you were going to bump your head on the bottom when diving off the bow of that mine sweep...
