Young South Texas buck. He will be safe this year. Will be a nice buck in a couple of years.

This freak deer probably will be taken.

Looks like your deer in S Texas are in good shape compared to rest of state. Lots of skin and bones on game cameras showing up in most of State. Going to be a hard winter unless we get some rainfall soon. GL

Yeah, we finally had some good rains come through here a couple of weeks ago and things have greened up nicely. The deer are shaping up real good. They were suffering back during the summer, though.

I've got 5 or 6 of those young 8 pointers coming to my feeder and three mature bucks that are messed up on the left side. I don't know if it's in the genetics or what. Last year I had three deer with just a right antler.

Of course, I always see a few bucks when the season opens that managed to elude the camera. Smile
