And it ain't Monday morning Quarterbacking.
The remote controlled drones they are using in Afghanistan are brilliant. Check the following video out to see just how easy it is to hit the enemy.

Thanks for posting, Vince. Its an intersting video. UAVs (unmanned air vehicles) are only getting more and more tasking in today's conflicts. Simulations are getting better and better also.

Vince, I don't think your link loaded. I am very interested to see what it says. I was on a roof-top last week doing initial EO DAS check-out prior to its first F-35 flight tests.

Send them things in thick as flies- all of them armed to the tailpipe. Sniff out scum and burn 'em. Then when it's MUCH safer send in the boots. Makes more sense to me to do it that way with the silent lingering capabilities of them things!

Well depends, the US Air Force uses people far from the action, located in Nevada. So their pilots who many are reservists can plan vacations around visiting Los Vegas.
The US Army basis the pilots in Iraq or Afghanistan at the air bases there.
The Marines get the pilots to throw the drones in the middle of the war zone ...

yep, that is the one I thought it was. The DAS has the potential they advertized. However, it is still just starting to mature. I flew a DAS on a Blackhawk helo the Army is developing back in April that does is much closer to providing what is advertised in this video. Here are some videos that are real capability!

Seems the days of the good old fashion dog fights are over. No more air to air/man to man...Where is the fun in all this?
