Thje 93 year old Mother Superior was about to go to her final reward, and the sisters of her Order were doing all they could to make her last moments peaceful and happy.
"Mother, would you like a bit of soup?" they asked, "No, thank you, child", came the answer. "A wee drop of water, then." " No."
"Isn't there anything you would like?" "No, really, I'm fine."
One young Sister decided that just wouldn't do. She went to the kitchen, where she warmed some milk, and sweetened it with brown sugar.
Then, she remembered a bottle of fine Irish Whiskey they had received for a Christmas gift. She added a drop or two, then some more, just to be sure it was enough.
Back in the Mother Superior's bed chamber, she convinced the old woman to take just a sip. Then another, and another, and soon, all the milk was gone.
One of the Sisters asked; "Is there any wisdom you want to leave with us?" The Mother Superior operned her eyes, and with a most pious expression on her face, said: "Don't sell that cow!"
