Thanks for the rain wishes, stovey! I wish the rain in the East and yours in the West could meet over Texas. The weatherman made a predistion today that we will stay in a drought for another 7 years. So yes, do all you can to send it our way!!!

5 out of last 7 years have been considered a "drought". This year has been the most severe. The say we are in a cycle that will last 14 to 20 years. We need a tropical storm to overfly us and fill up our lakes, resevoirs, and ponds.

Damn Slim...that is just plain nasty mate. What is the ground water like...plenty of it for the bores?

Our artesian basin is pretty good out here, although the last drought we went through (5 - 7 yrs or more) depleted it a bit. Our dams were down to mud in a lot of places too.

Hang in there mate, it will come when ya least expect it...same as what happened here. Our drought was broken by "once in a hundred floods".

Cheers, Vince

We had a drought in my neighborhood for seven straight years. It really sucked. Hope you all get the moisture that you desperately need.

I would truly love to shooo some of this rain over your way. I just spent a weekend of drenched deer hunting, this morning too. We're expecting the snow level to drop around 8000ft. so it's also going to get cooler. I'm just about at 500ft so no worries. Hope it brings the deer, I saw nuthin...only a chipmunk.

No I'm not doin rain dances, only best wishes, don't wanna cause it to rain more here. I have a good luck charm I'll put on and talk to the powers of the universe if that'll help.

Suz

Last night we had 10-15 mm per hour for 3-4 hours. We are in the path of the post tropical storms and get drenched every year it seems. Good for the hydro dams.

Supposed to get 60mph winds on the coast and 40degree mornings, 5000ft snow level not 8000ft. Wow MacD you got some rain, keep yer hat down.
