Thats Legend! Seen some funny stuff in my time but thats right up there. I have tried Bronze Whalers off the beach but haven't had much joy, just shredded line and steel traces, probably too light.

Great stuff Vince.
What amazed me was all the fish surrounding the shark in the overhead shots.
Commercial overfishing means there's no chance of seeing something like that in UK waters.

Great Vince! Heard "stubby" used for the firs time!!! Not sure I would have relased them back to bother the surfer - didn't seem any in the video but the baitman. Maybe thats telling in itself.

I HATE sharks.
19yo kid just got killed by a GW near here surfing.
Brrrrrr....the Men in the Gray Suits give me the willies. I have no love for sharks, at all. Period. Not someting I want erraditcated but...I just dont wanna be ANYwhere near them. Been accosted by them, had kill-bags stolen, gotten in scrapes with them diving. I just assume not see them anymore. Basitds are all over when I'm in the water for some reason.
Maybe that's why no one wants to surf/dive with me no more.

When you go fishin' don't forget to take your shotgun with you...
Take the fastest, heaviest load you can find for the shotgun of your guage and reduce the powder charge 50% - instead of those pesky lead pellets use a paper or card wad and cut the case even with the top. Then make an aluminum (aluminium for those from Oz) tube three inches longer than the muzzle to shell distance - using your "fishing round" - fit a 3/8" thick plug on the bottom and a long (about 3 1/2") screw-on detatchable chamber at the top for another 12 ga. round - make it a slug round.
When you see a shark that is going to mess with you ..... shoot!
Disclaimer: Do Not Try This At Home! No testing has been done on this crazy idea - for obvious reasons. They do make exploding harpoons for this purpose - and they are a lot stronger than your shotgun.

West Aus has had another attack.
There was another diver present who grabbed it by the tail.

That must have been unsettling - like grabbing a tiger by the tail!

What makes the sharks there in Ozland so ready to attack divers?
Is there a shortage of their normal food or have they learned to like people?
