I recently bought an AMT Back Up .380. The extractor was broken the last time we fired it and none of us realized it until I got it home. I can't seem to find a replacement for it other than the Numrich web site but they are out of stock. They do however have an extractor for the .22 cal. Is this part compatible for the .380? If not the where can I find the part I need?

Brownell's is a great source. You might also try Numrich Gun Parts (formerly Numrich Arms) at www.gunpartscorp.com/ They have a lot of parts and have been quite helpful in the past.

Sorry but I have already checked into those sites. Brownells only list the double action and Numrich is sold out. Im checking all my resourses here so today I intend to stop by a few local gun shops to see what thay can find.

Welcome to this most friendly site. Grab a beer and pull up a stump close to the fire and join right in.

Yup. When nothings goin' on we sit around the fire tellin' stories. And no matter what no one gets offended. It's not allowed.

And when you arrive at the ladder, have some chips and beer with you.
Well Suz is one of the guys isn't she?
Guess I had better start for the ladder too.

Brownells and Sinclair are housed in one building, I only live 75 miles away and have been inside quite a few times and each time I say "it's humongous"
But also they have international shipping available so you might want to check on their ship rates because I do know they have warehouses across the pond to ease the prices for folks over there and down under.

Well the update on my problem is still no luck. The local gun shop pulled the catalog from Numrich as I was telling them about my visit to the Numrich site. There is however a gun show coming up next month that I was told I would have some luck. I may even have to have the part fabricated.
I was informed that AMT didn't make many pistols and they aren't the best quality anyway. If I found one that didn't jam then I was in luck.
For $150 with two holsters and two magazines it didn't seem like a bad deal. I do believe the extractor broke during the last round of firing and it did fire well before hand. If I can repair it for less than $30 I will be satisfied.
Until then I can just throw it a something.
