Dimitri, I enjoy reading these posts on your machining efforts. I have a son in school that is studying and learning the same skills as you are.
Keep up the good work--tr

Update, got my Stamping punch EDM'ed using the copper electrode I made, so now I'm closer to finishing my die, actually all thats really left is alittle quick machining and assembly. Smile

The left one I stamped on a vice and is on center of the part (not level in the picture sorry), the middle one I stamped in a vice but the disk wasnt on center and the thing on the right is the copper electrode. Smile

Thanks I messed up on the stamping punch so I did a "engineering change" and am going to have to reburn the stamping punch with the design on it in a slightly different position. Smile

Lookin' good "Meatree. I could never in a thousand years make anything like that mate. I am suitably impressed.

Vince,

Its not that hard to make, just need to know how to use a few basic metal working machines (Lathe, mill, surface and cylinderical grinders, drill press) and you could do it with alittle time. Wink

Vince and Fireball,

Thanks guys. Smile

Vince,

You were wondering before what a Die makes well this is what my die makes:

The top long piece is called a scrap strip, its basiclly to show the stages (right to left) from no holes, to the small percing station (the small hole), to the stamping station, then to the blanking and then the cut off station so the strip isn't really long. Smile

The part on the bottom left is the one that my die makes, the one to its right is the part it produced because I messed up on the stamping punches position so I fixed it and now it works right as you can see the design isnt beening cut off anymore. Smile
