Proof reading is non-existent these days. Headlines, articles, etc are practically gibberish. I bought a book a while back that looked very interesting, "Sighted Sub, Sank Same" about WW2 US Navy vs U-Boats. I gave up trying to read it after 30 some pages. It was unintelligible. It had been printed in India and they butchered it. I even contacted the publisher and their response was basically "we know, too bad".
