Our state Secretary of Health has decreed that anyone going to a grocery store to shop or to work therein must wear a face mask. I stopped by the local grocery store for a few items and realized that I did not have a face mask. What to do? I found a six-pocket cotton OD ammo bandoleer in my stash and cut the web strap to get two ends to secure it. I did get a few looks when folks saw the stenciled data on it that said "NATO 7.62 MM, BALL M80, 5 RD CLIPS, LC 13168". Works fine. Oh, well. All the best...

What gets me is how TPTB mandate stuff like this, without ensuring the necessary items are available to everyone in the first place.
Needless to say, such diktats almost invariably come from politicians with a distinct leftist/control freak bent...

Or simply clueless to the logistics involved.
Here they are talking about making it compulsory to have a tracking app on your phone.
Looks like I'll revert to the good old days, turn phone off put in draw, use ut only when I need to, at home.
Where's that middle finger emoji.

I’m with you Pete...no Govt tracking app going on my phone. Call me a cynic, but I simply don’t trust Big Brother.
I remember the last census when you were required to put your name address and other very personal details, all of which would be saved and kept, but only Statistics would have access to the information. Then the Tax Office and Centrelink (welfare dept) demanded access for their agendas, along with other Dept. this was after the public was assured that the information would be secure and nobody else would have access to it. It was never publicised informing us if access was given to other Depts.
So NO...it ain’t happening on my phone.

simple...leave phone at home.....no one says you must carry it with you at all times,if they want me to do that they can pay me to do so as its information gathering, therefore a task/job,therefore they can pay me.

I'd like to see a tracking app on my phone - a 2005 Nokia with zero internet ability.
Spends most of its life in a drawer in any case...

My phone has a tracking device... a cord that plugs into the wall.
If I answer they know I am home.

When I filled out the on line form they wanted to know my ethnicity, nationality and my species (or something to that effect).
I checked the box for white non hispanic, American, and wrote in ... Human.
That's as close as I could get, even if it is a stretch...
