Sidney received a very rare and valuable parrot as a gift.

The problem was, the parrot had a foul mouth and a worse disposition.

Sidney tried everything! The parrot yelled at him, he would yell back. He tried speaing soothingly, playing soft classical music, and covering up the parrot's cage, all to no avail.

One day, the parrot was pitching a fit, and Sidney had enough. He grabbed the bird and stuffed it into the freezer.

The parrot was kicking the door, and cussing up a storm, when Sidney heard it gasp---then complete silence.

Sid thought; AT LAST! But when the silence continued, he became concerned. He opened the freezer, and the parrot walked up his arm, ruffled his feathers and said: Good Sir, I perceive that my actions and vocablulary have caused you some distress. I shall do my utmost to mend my ways. Will you forgive me! Needless to say, Sidney was speechless.

Then the parrot cocked his head, looked Sid in the eye and said: "Might I inquire; What did the chicken do?"

Works every time...Ask my kids....
