Six weeks sound long but it will go fast when you look back. The key to a fast recovery is to take it slow and not over do it.

Vince, good to get it done right away! I bet you will be up and around in a few days and pain free in a couple of weeks!
Remind the doctor to put a sign on the leg that is good... don't want any mistakes.

My grand dad is my hero. I plan to out live him but I doubt I will be able to handle more than three girls.. Wink

Well, I’m back in my room after the op...numb from the waist down because they did an epidural block...a bit hard going to the loo though because the wedding tackle it 110%. numb. I know it’s all there because I can touch them...but absolutely no feeling.

The Dr said everything went perfect, so I’ll be up and walking hopefully tomorrow morning...with pain meds.

I worked in hospitals or nursing homes for 35 years and saw many folks who had gone through this procedure. Some of my hunting buddies had both knees done and two weeks ago we went pheasant hunting. There are a few key things that have already been mentioned by others. My recommendations would be to get a good doctor and then get a second opinion. After the procedure, go to rehab and continue the physical regimen. You should be good to go. All the best...

Vince, the rehab and the drugs . Do work wonders . Take care don't try and do too much to start with.
