South end of the valley I live in, about 30 miles. We have 3 or 4 more fires start up today, one about 10 miles from my house that burned 3 homes.

Currently the 2 major fires here are rated priority #1 and #2 in all of the USA. Its bad.

But, I dont want to take away from the hurricane back east, hope everyone there is safe.

You aren’t taking away from Hurricane Florence mate...a natural disaster is a natural disaster, regardless of type or where it may be.

You be safe and watch out for your family mate.

Local river is supposed to crest about 26' above normal tomorrow! It's about 1.5 miles away and I think I'm about 80' above it. Lots of rain, a little wind and lights just blinked...

Flooding will be a big issue until mid week or longer. They are having some looting problems in some areas towards the coast.

Both daughters came home today and are staying tonight. I'm a happy camper!

Local LE needs to put down a couple looters to make an example of them. I HATE people that steal!!

I agree totally HJ...make an example of a few and hopefully the others will decide it's not worth the risk.
